HAIR STYLING
SCISSOR PRACTICE

·        OILY HAIR: FINE HAIR(limp, lacks body, has active sebaceous glands)
·        DRY: COARSE(Stiff, tangles easily and has split ends due to under active sebaceous glands)
·        NORMAL: MEDIUM(Oil gland function properly and hair is neither dry nor oily)
·        COMBINATION(Oil gland produce oil till scalp and has dry hair shaft and hair is oily around scalp and has dry body)
SECTIONING/PARTITIONING
·        BASIC OF HAIR SECTIONING
1.      Vertical sectioning
2.      Horizontal sectioning
3.      Diagonal/slant sectioning
HAIR WASH
1.      Cover client with towel on his back side starting from neck.
2.      Use shower cap over towel and tie it well
3.      Adjust water by testing it with your hand
4.      Rinse client’s hair without allowing water to drain away towards client’s face, ear
5.      Apply shampoo two times and massage well for few minutes. Rinse after each shampooing.
6.      Apply conditioner and rinse well.
7.      Cover entire head by towel and towel dry client’s hair.
8.      Blow dry or start hair cut
BLOW DRY TECHNIQUE
1.      INCURL
2.      OUT CURL
3.      SIDE CURL
ROLLER SETTING
1.      Section hair properly
2.      Roll in hair at 90° angle (Use smaller hair roller at bottom and then use bigger roller at top).
3.      For the hair section near forehead, roll in hair at 45°.
NOTE: For better bounce, use bigger roller for the top hair section near forehead.
HAIR STYLES BASED ON GEOMETRICAL HAIR CUTTING
HAIR GEOMETRY
1.      ONE LENGTH CUT (BASED ON 0° ANGLE CUT)
·    ANGLE: 0°
·    HAIR TYPE: All
·    HAIR LENTH: Short, Medium, Long, Very Long

2.      LAYER CUT (BASED ON 45° ANGLE CUT)
·    ANGLE: 45°
·    HAIR TYPE:: Wavy, Normal
·    HAIR LENGTH: All

3.      LAYER CUT (BASED ON 90° ANGLE CUT)
·    ANGLE: 90°
·    HAIR TYPE:: Wavy, Normal
·    HAIR LENGTH: All
4.      REVERSE GRADUATION (BASED ON 180° ANGLE CUT)
·    ANGLE: 180°
·    HAIR TYPE:: WAVY, NORMAL
·    HAIR LENGTH: ALL
USAGE OF TONG/CURLING ROD
·        Wash and blow dry(One length) your client’s hair.
·        Section hair properly. Making smaller section is recommended for better result.
·        Start ironing for small section of hair by straightening hair for first time and then curl at 90° using tong. In curl for the bottom section of nape areas and then out curl in between top of nape area and start of crown area.
USAGE OF STRAIGHTENING IRON/IRONING ROD
·         Wash and blow dry (One length) your client’s hair.
·        Section hair properly. Making smaller section is recommended for better result.
·        Start ironing by straightening hair for small section of hair at 90° using ironing rod.
CONDITIONING OF HAIR (For nourishing, moisturizing, oiling and repairing of hair)
·        Wash your client’s hair.
·        Section hair properly. Making smaller section is recommended for better result.
·        Take each section and apply conditioner using applying brush, rat tail comb and your hand.
·        Steam client’s head for sometime for better result.
NOTE: Mixture of honey, Curd and Olive oil can be used as homemade conditioner. Egg white and heena can also be a conditioner.
HAIR COLOURING

HAIR STYLES
1.      FEATHER CUT/AMERICAN CUT
·        ANGLE: At the nose
·        HAIR TYPE:: Fine, Normal
·        HAIR LENGTH: long medium, Very long
·        CUTTING PROCEDURE:
1.  Wash and comb client’s hair properly.
2.  Make horizontal section connecting both ears proximally after making vertical section at center of hair.
3.  Again make four box sections with the help of center of eyebrow for the sectioned hair.
4.  Create guidelines by cutting straight at angle of 0° for the center box sections allowing clients to bend down frontally.
5.  Allow client to stand straight and by following guidelines, cut left box hair section by combing and locking at nose on the right side of client. Similarly, cut right box hair section comb and lock hair at nose on the left side of client.
6.  Make ‘A’ section by taking a diagonal section for hair at backside and clip the section. Release the free hair front.
7.  Take small section of hair and cut by bringing left hair section right and vice versa.
8.  For perfect V-shaped look, asymmetrically section ‘A’ hair section centrally and clip separately.
9.  Obtained hair section should be cut in the same manner as earlier steps.
TEXTURISING: Cutting tips of hair by locking and cutting hair parallel to locked hairs by leaving small uncut hair spaces.
2.      BLUNT CUT
·    ANGLE: 0°
·    HAIR TYPE:: Fine, Normal
·    HAIR LENGTH: Medium, about shoulder
·    PROCEDURE:
1.      Make four proper sections by one vertical section line at center of head and horizontal line connecting back root of ears. Make one more horizontal section line connecting centers of ears.
2.      Allow client to bent down and start making guideline by cutting half(center) the neck. Similarly, cut the two remaining boxes at back by making horizontal section.
3.      For the crown area sections cut by taking cut hair at back as guideline. For inverted blunt, cut by bringing hair to be cut at backside at shoulder or little away.
·    BLOW DRYING: Blow dry by making in curl and hide tips of hairs inside.
